Land Rover Discovery 4 TDV6 Viscous Fan Tool / Spanners North Sydney Area

    Hi All

My drive belt tensioner is gone, I have ordered spanners / tools from UK but wanted to check if there is anyone in area that has the tools and would lend them as I would like to get back on the road. I am in the North Sydney Area area and can pick up and drop back.

    Cheers

Have you tried a large spanner and a quick hit to loosen it ?

A fan spanner to fit a Ford (36mm) from Supercheap, Repco etc for about $30 or modify a tow ball spanner.

    Thanks All

I tried a few things including sharp hit on spanner and made up my own holding tool, which did not work, it was very tight.

The tool arrive today and I managed to get it off, requiring a fair bit of force.

Mine took a bit of shifting the first time. I put it back with some grease and make a point of cracking it loose about every second service. It's never needed more than a light hammer tap on a big adjustable spanner ever since.
