Just look for a V8 and pay a little more for fuel but have a hugely more reliable vehicle and heaps cheaper to maintain, put a long rang tank in it and enjoy the exhaust note

I didnt know they continued to V8 into the D4.. now its looking like none of my spares will suit the D4 might be time to look outside the LR stable..
Only early days but there are certainly plenty of choices when you start looking at the prices of the 2015/2016 D4

I did see 1 SCV6 advertised for sale.
Im planning on using the vehicle for towing our van as well , and with my travels with work once you are out of the main city areas the fuel cost between deisel and petrol are identical or within a few cents..
My main thought with continuing with a D4 is that i have learnt plenty during my D3 ownership and would fit my LR tank , rear wheel carrier, roof rack , bullbar etc to the new D4.
