Loud noise front suspension whilst in reverse

I have loud clunk coming from the front right suspension, only in reverse, with steering between half and full lock. It is only a single, quite loud metallic clunk. No other symptoms - no steering vibration at speed, no suspension noise (control arms done recently). Recently did some serious tracks in the Vic high Country including river crossings - no issue with high or low range, or air suspension in off road mode. Any thoughts on what this could be? Booked in for a service in April but wondering what it could be before then...

check for steering tie rod play and make sure the ps resevoir is at correct level. The fact that the clunk is present at a certain wheel angle makes me think tie rods

Had much the same, worse when going reverse uphill to forward uphill.

Ended up being a CV joint. Both have been done now - the second was clunking pretty loudly at the end…
