It wont matter if you bring it to me as i'm transferring the data from one eeprom to another, as far as the vehicle is concerned it wont know

If you do swap them, I'd love to get a look at the faulty one. I was going to borrow Shanes repaired one to get a look at the repair, but I'd be interested in getting a look at an "unmolested" faulty unit to see how hard it might be to re-work given all the "intelligence" on the net points toward lead-free solder related issues.
I had a quick look at the one i removed and couldn't see anything obvious without a microscope, i would see if i could fix one as i have a rework station that i have used for xbox 360's that got the famous RROD errors which was down to solder cracking on the GPU/motherboard .

I received my cluster last Friday, put it in the car and it all works fine.
Totaltronics said that the high-speed bus had a fault.
have been driving it a few days and it hasn't missed a beat.
