    Lift them before you park,
Window cleaner or metho in water one part in 6. Or turn on demister and have heat high, that will take a while.
Do not use warm or hot water, the windscreen can crack.

I don't know that you can lift them? They lift a small way, but not right up and stay there?

The wipers need to be parked vertically. I forget how, but it's in the handbook. Same as you need to do to replace the wiper blades.

Service position just makes reaching them a bit easier doesn't it? You still can't lift them to stop touching the glass?

I think the intent from LR is if you need to stop your wipers freezing to the windshield, you should have sprung for the cold climate pack

Silicone blades also help reduce/prevent it compared to rubber blades.
