    2nd Trans Cooler 2013 D4

Looking at installing a 2nd trans cooler with a heat activated switch (don’t know the exact name - when oil gets to a certain temp it activates the 2nd cooler and turns off when temp go down).

Would anyone have a link to such a kit or a parts list so I can make up my own kit?

    Thanks 2nd Trans Cooler 2013 D4

No need for the thermostat. The transmission controls its flow / cooling, so just add a cooler and go!

Mine was easy as I had fitted an upgraded Intercooler which left a great spot - otherwise it’s a couple of supports off those front x bars in front of the radiator.

Thanks Tombie. Just to be clear, you removed the original in favour of an upgraded one?

I did, that way the factory unit in tank cannot fail and dump coolant into the transmission.

Others have just plumbed in series without issue.
