D3 SE vs HSE standard features

Anyone know what the standard specification differences were between the SE and HSE in the Discovery 3 range?
Anyone got a copy of any original sales brochures or spec sheets?

I’m aware that an SE could likely be optioned with most of the HSE specs in it’s build, but what were the default base specs for each badge?

At the moment only the captains front seats stand out.

At a pinch you can look up D3's on redbook.com.au and compare a SE vs HSE for a rough idea of what they came out with for each model year.

D3 SE vs HSE standard features

    My SE;

    Has 7 seats
    Auto
Seats are leather but non electric and with no armrests
    Base stereo
    No upper console info display
    No sunroof/s
    No rear AC
    18” wheels
No external accessories like strips on doors or chrome covers
    Does have bi-xenon headlights
    Does have rain sensing wipers
    Does have auto on headlights
Does have auto dimmer rear vision mirror

The things I don’t have I’ve never missed except maybe the stereo. i added an integrated aftermarket Bluetooth phone pickup which works a treat.

In fact these are the items you may expect grief from as age gets on especially internal leaks from sunroof drains.

Bluetooth was on option on HSE with the module in the tailgate! Use of an aftermarket via the audio input at the rear of the cubby box is fine for me as the bluetooth modules are rare as to purchase by themselves.

Captains chairs are standard HSE as OP has stated.

Chilled cubby box was an HSE option.

There may have been other options possible MY07 (Euro 4 motor) onwards that I am not aware of due to owning an MY06 (Euro 3 motor).

I’m not convinced of RedBooks accuracy with features, the only thing that stick out to me on there (using a 2006 as example) is that HSE included the following as standard which were optional extras on SE:

Option Pack - Hi Ice Sound System

    CD Stacker - 6 disc In Dash/Cabin
    8 Speaker Stereo
    Subwoofer
    Premium Sound System
    Multi-function Steering Wheel

Yes I’ve added to mine the multi function steering wheel inserts and console fridge which were plug and play ready to go I just bought the part and plugged them in.

Hi Ice Sound System includes the sub-woofer AFAIK.

Mine (MY06) has the Premium (Harman Kardon) Premium Sound including 8 speakers & 6 stack CD. Having replaced both tailgate actuators I definitely do not have a sub-woofer in there.

Other differences are as I have mentioned above.

So by 2008 my 2006 Hi Ice had become Premium Ice, the cubby box had become chilled and the rear air com had become standard. GPS & Bluetooth were still options. Thanks for that.
