Most likely the Bluetooth phone module in the boot is starting to fail.

 Entertainment Unit Glitching & Freezing 2011 D4
		Hi guys,
New to the forum, have owned my 2011 Disco 4 SDV6 for 2ish years now. I have an issue with the Entertainment system in the car which started maybe 6 months ago and has gotten progressively worse - to the point where its surprising if it doesn't happen on a drive.
The unit freezes up, repeating in a loop of exactly 6 seconds. When starting a drive the unit can be completely fine and then begin freezing. The signs of the glitch is the CD icon becomes greyed out, the Portable Audio briefly shows AUX, a crackle and pop is heard on the speakers with the audio cutting out and all buttons both physical and digital becoming none functional. Other faults include the rear view camera not displaying when put into reverse while the unit is glitching, starting the car fresh has the unit stick on the LR logo and then after maybe 5-10 minutes comes good but then glitches into the 6 second pattern, other times starting the car just shows a black screen no logo and then again eventually comes good. Sometimes when it starts off glitching, no audio comes through and then all of a sudden during the drive it breaks free of the loop and the radio comes good and works.
I've been trying to draw a pattern and assess the variables at play and the best I can do it link it to the cars cabin temp, the issue is almost 100% guaranteed when the cabin is hot. Less so when the temp of the day is cooler, so usually the mornings don't see the glitch. This could be totally false as it has happened when the cabin has been cool and has not happened when its been hot.
Here are some youtube vids to get a better idea on it:

SupporterI had a similar issue a couple of years back, radio would make a sharp crackle and the radio would cut out for about 5 seconds... I read somewhere here that it could be a fault with the key, so I used my spare key and it didn't do it again... Bluetooth module went about a month after that, but not sure if the crackling issue was due to the key change or the module replacement... about 2 months ago, the screen went black whilst driving along, just died... got in the next day, worked fine... guess it's another 'quaint' LR quirk...
