    Should I jack up the other side or put the car into neutral to assist with spinning it?

    Can you see in old one how it slots together? You want the diff end to stay still and rotate the cv shaft to locate it. Is the hub end free or installed?

    Installed. Can't get it back out due to the extra length

    It's bloody hard to rotate the hub. I can't reconnect it to the upper control arm due to the distance

    Are you sure that the new one is fully seated home? I haven't seen the inside of the D4 carrier where the drive shaft seats, but some FWD cars have a lip plus the split ring recess. You need to be quite forceful with it to seat them home, the ext spline on the shaft mates with the internal spline in the differential, then shove it home. Some assembly lube or gear oil on the shaft spline will help.

    Have you got the shafts around the right way ? Lh for lh side, etc?

    I'm back on the road! Just became a two man job to jiggle it back in!
    I'm down some steering fluid but otherwise it drove out my driveway in High Range with no big clunks!
