    Tyre Brands

Has anyone used the Maxxis Razr AT811 on 18". Thinking of these for my next set and would like to know someones experience.

I've used Falken (best so far but not LT), BFG, D697 and curently on Toyos (worst of them all) so I've used all the common brands. I'm really leaning toward LT rated which cuts out just about everything as I do a lot of off road, remote work.

Good reports from the Jap brigade for those in 18’s.
The tyre place our work vehicles go to recommend them as well, above the other brands you have mentioned including Wildpeak.

Out of curiosity what is the problem with the Toyo’s? I’ve only ever had them in the MT and currently have a set on the Perentie and have always found them to be good. I am looking for a new set of tyres for the D4 this year and have been toying with the idea of fitting 18’s to it. Thanks.

Had a puncture through the tread at 5000km, then tread block ripped off at 30000km (replaced by dealer free). When I told the guys at Toyo at a recent 4WD show they said that size is really a passenger tyre, not like other sizes. Also looking at the tyre marking it says max inflation is 44 PSI.

We are several sets of AT811 in.

Pretty good tyre, comparable to a KO2.

    Certainly quieter when worn.

    Good load rating.

I've been running geolander G015 LTs (119 load rating). Not as an aggressive profile as other ATs but pretty quiet.

Out of curiosity what size are you running? The Yokohama website does not list any size of the GO15 in an LT construction even though their brochure says they are available in PC & LT..

265/60 R18. Didn't go 65 profile as the 60 profile spare just fits under the car inflated.

Listed on tyrepower website (where I bought them from)
