Spot on Max. They come from the "light truck radial product" range, it will be interesting to see how they perform as, so far as I can tell, they are a budget tyre - the only tyre I found cheaper round here was a Kings (?) MT at $145.

I'm thinking about it, but I'll wait till I get used to the roadholding with these tyres as is.

I'd still feel a lot safer in the water with one.
Also for the cleaner air - my brand new air filter was packed with dust from following XSI last Sunday!

So which snorkel are you getting tommorow?

I find it astounding that this car was stock standard less than 2 months ago

Thats good Matt, there will be plenty of them out our way & you know you will always be welcome.

Shame you couldn't make this trip not overly challenging but a couple of hills thrown in to keep you on your toes, then again if it rains then this trip gets real interesting, maybe next year mate , the Ophir end can get very interesting I got awfully hung up in a huge torrent of water in Summer Hill Creek with an interesting rescue, lot of fun though.

    Dave,
You will thoroughly enjoy the Simex's,
I had a set on my D1, but they were a set of JT2's. Absolutley awesome offroad, I had my rear guards modified & suspension also modified but the articulation was great.
It gives u more confidence knowing u can crawl anywhere(dont get much choise with a 200Tdi anyway) but it was great.

    Hopefully the photo appears below..

[edit Phoenix] didn't work, you need to copy the code at the bottom of the page to put into your post, but i've fixed it for you
