    Black Exhaust

Towing the camper today suddenly lost power and belching black smoke
Not the turbo hose as the first thing I checked
I have soot around the throttle body (egr blocked )
Any further ideas am going to check the clamps

    Thanks
    Craig

You’ve probably split the throttle body. It’s common. It splits where the Y inlet meets the throttle section.

Intercooler is also known to split which is hard to diagnose.

Any leak between the MAF and the intake Y piece should be relatively simple to prove with engine data logging, but a little harder to find.

Considering the telltale black at the throttle body as indicated in the first post is a good starting point

    For sure.

I think my point is still valid or have I missed something?
