    Series 4 Disco HSE brake anomally

    I don't know where else to post this, hopefully it doesn't get removed.

    I've been getting an intermittent issue with my brakes, they seem to occasionally grab, or stick on, it's hard to explain, but it feels like hill hold is activated (even on a flat surface) and won't release until you pump the brakes, you can start driving and the brakes will remain active, until you give the brakes a little pump.

    My brother has experienced a similar thing with his 2014, just wondering if others have had it and if they worked out what it was causing it.

    I've had it at the mechanics today and they couldn't find any issues.

    What diagnostic error codes are you getting? Without that as a starting point, you're just flying blind.

    It's not throwing any errors at all, that's why I thought I'd ask here, if I had the error codes, I'd know what I am dealing with.

    Just to clarify, I was referring to a D4 specific scan tool like the GAP ID or Nanocom. Not the dash display.

    Series 4 Disco HSE brake anomally

    If you have no brake or ABS warning lamps up on the dash, then I doubt you will find any fault codes related to the brake system that will explain why they are binding up like you describe. I am at Point Cook, so can help with reading fault codes but will be away for a week.

    More likely a problem with either a calliper not moving freely and binding, or a return flow fault with the master cylinder. Even a collapsed brake hose could be holding pressure at a calliper.

    I would be trying to isolate exactly which brake is holding first. Knowing if it is a single wheel, a full axle (either both front or both rear), or all four wheels will then help to diagnose where the fault lies.

    Can you confirm it is not lag with the transmission engaging drive?
