    Bash plates that work with ARB Summit

    Apologies if this has been answered ... I've seen variations of this asked but can't find any answers.

    I'm looking to put an ARB summit bullbar my 2015 D4. But I also really want underbody protection - ideally APT. I know that the APT front guard doesn't fit with the ARB installed. Are there any other options? Or is the underbody protection that's incorporated into the bullbar sufficient to protect the radiator, intercooler and air-conditioning condensor?

    And if so, then I could get the sump (and other protection behind it) from APT?

    Or is there another good bullbar that works with the APT underbody protection?

    Honestly the factory plates do a great job.

    Tank protection and compressor protection more critical

    And the crappy plastic trans cover, i need to fab up a replacement since mine took a hit up at Wombat a few weeks ago.

    So I guess then that the built in protection from the ARB bullbar is sufficient and all I should do is get the transmission, air tank & air compressor guards? What about the sump? I should say that I'm not looking to add on for the sake of it ... we do a fair amount of bush bashing, especially in the Murchison & Pilbara areas, and I've touched rocks in the past. And now we're planning to drive the Gibb River road next winter. I'm pretty cognizant of weight as well, so I don't want to overload the car with unnecessary stuff.

    They are external to the plastic acoustic cover.

    The covers that come with ARB bars only cover up untill the radiator under tray, the main bash plate protects the sump and is more then adequate .
    The trans plastic cover is near useless so i'd replace that.

    Just a tip, if / when you install the compressor guard , which I also recommend, ensure that after each off road trip give it a good hose out to remove sand, mud and rocks/ stones.
    it is amazing how much crap can build up in there

    Yup, absolutely. I'm pretty fastidious about chassis washes after offroading, especially since we go onto beaches as well. Cleaning the car takes the better part of a day after trips.

    The installation video shows that nothing is removed - this just goes over the compressor.
