HPFP - Can I ask where people get theirs from?

I'm not sure of the rules of the forum, but curious where people go to buy the High Pressure Fuel Pump for a D3 2.7.

I've got to bite the bullet and start purchasing items but the costs are quite varied with the usual concerns on what I'm getting, from $3.2k to reconditioned ones out of the UK.

    Thanks.

LR Parts out of the UK $3K gets you a brand new genuine one. $1500 gets you a reconditioned one if they are available.

Is that a job you want to risk doing twice?

If it's a Siemens/VDO remanufactured unit it should be as good as new.

Not quite - definitely try and find a new unused one. They are around if you look via EBay and also Jefferson Ford in Melbourne. Expect to pay about $2.2k brand new.

Problem with reman is they do a seal kit but don’t change the solenoid valves as far as I can determine which is what ultimately cause limp mode gremlins.

I could sell you my old one and it would test perfect and probably go for 6 months until it faulted again.

If you can find one of those with a 2 year warranty, jump on it. All the remans I've looked at have been effectively unbranded. Absolutely not "remanufactured" by the original manufacturer.

Thanks Everyone, good advice. It's not a job I want to do at all, but it's not going anywhere until it's done unfortunately.

I'll pay closer attention to the pumps on offer.

Thanks for the tip, so I'm not sure, but this is compatible for the 2008 2.7 TDV6?
