Thread: Tow ball height.

Various heights are available from multiple sources. I personally would stick with a reputable towbar mob such as Hayman Reece etc.. Temu and Supercheap et al may be cheaper, but the saving is negated if the hitch fails.
What type of towbar do you have, bolt on, reciever or genuine Land Rover?

Hi thanks, its the LR removable type.

The D3 hitch sits too low for most so you either swap to the D4 hitch or go aftermarket like the Mitch hitch, you might be able tp get a suitable tongue that you can flip to get the extra height just beware of the weight rating and length from the pin to the ball.

This isn't a modification so i'll move this to the D3/4 section.

Factory tow tongue can be flipped over and retains load rating. That may get you where you want to be.

I got the UK hook-ball with my D3. A new D4 hitch and a Hayman Reese insert from Repco works with the bar flipped over.

I have a factory D 4 hitch I can sell, sits a fair bit higher

I have one of these. Made in the US. I use it for towing my 3t boat without any issues. Comes in a number of rise/drop heights.
