    Never had it come free, but it is pretty smooth ride in the D3.

    You can always add some double sided tape to secure it to the top of the air vent.

    Vent mount

    Quadlock are the only mounts I've used that haven't disintegrated within a few weeks.

    They do have a vent mount that apparently works pretty well, but I just stuck mine on the windscreen to the left of the A pillar.

    I have a ClicOn one too. Mounted on the passenger side (I have another one on driver's side for my UHF microphone) with a magsafe setup

    Works very well and hasn't ever fallen off although admittedly I haven't subjected it to serious corrugations.
