make no mistake "just" the body is heavy, must be a good ton.

Soooo the better way of doing it if you dont have a hoist but somehow have a forklift.
When I fitted the body back on my mates D3 I used the forklift as my hoist was busy. Lifted the body underneath using common fork extensions (steel square tube that slips over the forks). placed in position and then had blocks front and rear to lower onto then remove forks, then lifted each end removed blocks, lowered in position. Was a fair bit of messing around but little chance of damage to the body, the forklift was a 1.5 ton and that was i'd say close to its limit as its a fair weight out from the forklift.
