    Engine oil temp sensor

Had a couple of going into limp the last week and one DTC that pops up is for the oil temp sensor, i know they can cause rough running but not a limp situation.
Price seems to vary alot for the part 1359056., i should check it with my gap tool to see what its reading.

That'd be a place to start.

Oil temp only registers as 39c on my gap tool so i'd say the sensor is stuffed, also read on disco3 forum that a faulty sensor can cause sluggish trans shifting which is what i'm experiencing so will soon see if thats fixed once i replace the sensor.

Yeah, that sounds like a failure default value. At least it's easy enough to swap out. The manual has the resistance values you can use to test it.

No one had a genuine sensor in stock so got one off a territory motor while i was at the wreckers, for $8 it was worth a shot and so far no DTC for oil temp sensor and i think it has also solved my slightly sluggish performance of late.
