Never found a decent aftermarket scrivet yet. Not sure they exist. Let us know if you find something.
I've just done a bit of front end work and dealt with a small metric ****-ton of those bloody hammer in body fixings. Last time I bought some I'm pretty sure I bought the cheapest ****part units from LRDirect.
In my experience, the original Land Rover ones push in the hole nicely with nothing more than thumb pressure, and then you give the center pin a small belt and it pops into place. These after-market ones need some considerable "convincing" to get in, let alone belting the crap of the center pin and as a result removing them again later is "a bit of a chore".
Of course the cheap ones are $1 and the genuines are $5 (which adds up when you want to put 20 in the tool bag).
Does anyone have a brand or source they recommend?

I'm sick of throwing money away on them, so if I have to chuck another $100 in for genuine LR because they are actually better, then I will.

Remove them with care and they are reusable, otherwise lookup panel beating suppliers. Better quality and cheaper than Repautocrap.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
