Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on that.

At one point I even considered buying it and leaving it in the corner of the shed as an insurance policy. By then I figure as soon as I do that the chassis will break in half rendering it not worth repairing, the Mrs will make me buy a Prado and I'll have to move it on.

Only because it doesn't have "Landrover" stamped on it anywhere.

Few years back when I was working in trucks, had a job doing metal recycling.
One of the jobs they gave me, which was out of the ordinary ... I had to get down to Geelong to pick up a load out of the closed down Ford factory.

Large metal bins full of V6 motors, all go dumped into the tub trailer ... drove them to Onesteel(outer west melb) after I tipped them off, I realised they were V6 blocks ... hundreds of them every day, going to scrap.
I don't know what other V6s ford used to build/install.

What I was told(dunno if true) that all the engine numbers were recorded to be scrapped. Ford got their money for them, and couldn't then offload them as parts in any way .. so had to be scrapped.
    Arthur.

All these discos are giving me a heart attack!
