Hi Folks, can you confirm for me where I'd find the engine number on the block of a 2015 TDV6? I've bought a vehicle with Victorian plates and SA Transport needs a picture of the engine number on the block (they won't accept the valve cover plate here). I've dropped the starter motor out and found a number B14350511 etched onto a vertical pad, but it is nothing like the valve cover number. There's another horizontal pad on the block but it looks blank and unstamped. Any ideas? I'll try and post some pictures later. Thanks Dave

Most likely the number won't be seen without removing the turbo as the stamping is exceedingly light, but try sanding the area lightly then take a picture which might reveal the number. I couldn't read the numbers on one removed engine but did just make out the numbers on another removed engine, both with their turbos still mounted but without hoses attached.

Yes it was there on the horizontal pad on the RHS of the engine. A bit more sanding, a smear of blue paint and another light sanding and was able to get the phone in and take a reasonable picture with my phone. Sure is lightly stamped!
