Where is the D4 ATC ecu located?

Can anyone advise the location of the ATC ecu please? It no longer powers the compressor valve so needs to be replaced and I'd like not to pull the whole dash apart if that's possible.
    TIA

The ecu appears twice in the WSM steps to remove the evaporator core for the removal of connectors, once before the whole heater unit is removed then again after the heater unit has been pulled back from the firewall. It appears that the ecu should be mounted E-W vertically across the front of the heater unit on the driver's side, with the connectors facing towards the driver's side. I now have a starting point of removing the control panel and the adjacent RH cover panel.
