    Getting a good deal on a 2007 TDV6 SE

    Hi

My local LR dealer has a new TDV6 SE which has caught my eye. I was wondering what sort of deals people have been able to get on a new D3. List price is $75k (excluding on-roads), so how much could I realistically expect to have knocked off?

    Cheers

depends on your negotiating skills and what options you want fitted. Note all the nice options are factory fitted in the UK.

Do a ring around of all the dealers, find out what stock they have or having coming in and play one against the other to get best deal.
Be assertive and do not be afraid to simply walk out if they give you the "just have to ask the manager" line. I tell them if you have no authority to negotiate on price without running to ask then dont waste my time, get a desicion maker in here NOW!

Bottom line is always ask for better price or to hae something added to sweeten the deal. all they can say is no and if you never ask you will never know.

    good luck

Be interesting to see what sort of deal you can get but....the V6SE is 64k drive away.
I'm doing a combined cycle of 16l/100km. 90% is city driving.
A mate has the TDV6 and gets 12l/100km.

Yes the diesel has better range and resale, and I assume tows better as well.

But I struggle with the economics of paying at least 12k more for the same vehicle just get the diesel.
