    Remaps

Dear fellow D3 owners and addicts of permagrin motoring

Didn't know this site was going and look forward to sharing the experience of grinning and occaisional grimacing

I have done 55k in a My2006 hse tdv6 with no elecrical problems apart from a periodic rogue power surge on the lazy entry ecu, a defective rear driveshaft boot and leaking front diff due to faulty breather pipe.

I am thinking about trying a retune/remap that is said by many on the uk disco3 site to make the car even better! I have heard that Davis performance landy in Sydney are doing a good job with the d3; does anyone have a contact in Brisbane who does this type of work and what if any is your experience of having the new map?

    thanks

    Angus

Angus I am in Mackay and I have just had my TDV6 remapped through Autologic by Land Rover Spares here in town. Fairly simple for them once the protocol is set up. So you do not need to go to Sydney to have it done.

Would I recommend it. Certainly would. The TDV6 was good before but very willing now. It has taken a couple of days to reconfigure to my driving style but was very noticeable in terms of smooth power right from having it done. It's an awesome vehicle to drive now with the power enhancement. Mine had done approx 46,000kms prior to the remap.

    Regards, and welcome.

Barry did it make any diff to the fuel consumption?
Even though mine is great at around 13lts/100k with a camper
and around 10lts/100k around town 06 TDV6 with 67,000 ks

Bigmac I haven't really had a chance to check yet - the way I've driven it the last couple of days probably wouldn't be an ideal assessment anyway. The anecdotal comments from others suggests that it could get marginally better if driven the same as before. I will test it over the next couple of weeks.
