    D3 Dash inards

    Hiya,

I was hoping to find some metal behind the centre dash to fix a camera bracket onto, but no luck, it's all plastic.

So my question is: Does anybody know (for sure!) what's behind the black plastic at the arrow head in the pic.

What I was thinking was to fix a bracket there (with 3 x 10mm tek screws). Said bracket would then come out between the dash and the top of the vent, then bend backwards towards the windscreen.

    Cheers.

There are some great camera mounts that attach to your seat brackets. They are multipurpose, hold laptops, cameras, whatever, attaching at the base of the seats, with an elbow in the middle,(about radio height) with swivel. Definately worth considering.

Hi Forest, tried that but you still have to brace the seat in some fashion otherwise the you end up with a wobbling picture.

I dont want you to do this. It will be a sad day when I watch your videos without you having to tell your cameraman to hold it still!
