    17" Tyres

    Hey Mark,

I ordered tyres for the D3 today and ended up with Cooper ATRs.
Seem to meet load ratings etc (Road/Sand/Mud/Dirt).
I did the rounds with various brands & costs and came up with the Coopers.
    Cheers Dave

Most tyre shops have little idea about 4WDs and just recommend whatever fits, or whatever the manufacturer recommends.
They would be a direct replacement for the Wranglers. Sorry not a tyre expert.

It was Austral Motors, the LR dealer that reccomended the Continentals. They did not state a model but would assume they would be a similar AT type and load / speed rating.

    thanks

I didn't think it was possible for anything to be more expensive than the wranglers!

Wink Can't decide - Continental AT v UHP

    Hi D3 owners

Own a D3 with 18" wheels. Would like to replace Pirelli ATR with Continental tyres. Can't decide between AT or UHP, would prefer AT for offroad and tyre shop claim that AT's don't produce as much noise, vibration etc as other ATR tyres.

Has anyone had experience with Continental Tyres?

I would say do a search... but it's far worse than that guys

You're placing these questions IN a thread that I started to recommend the Continental Cross Contact UHP in a 255/60 R18 112V.

All the info you're asking including the price I paid are in the first 4 posts of this thread - but in summary, yes I can highly recommend them for on-road use, they transform the D3.
