The safari snorkel only fits the TDV6. If you have a petrol engine the LR option is the only one.

I think the RAI looks like a Jerry can with a pipe hanging out of it which is then stuck to the guard....a bit agricultural for a D3 IMO.
I'd prefer the little bit more subtle Safari as well as the fact that it is a snorkle and not just an extra fitting to get your intake out of the dust.

Think LR don't do full snorkel because the porus hose is impregnated with activated carbon and forms part of the emmissions control. If they removed it then the emissions figures would be out.

Emmissions from the air intake not going onto it, charcol asorbs the emmisions when engine is off. Ford have patent on the system.
I made a removable snorkel and have replaced the fabric and sealed the holes in the rest of the intake.
Hi CaverD3,
Are you saying that when a TDV6 is turned off, emissions pass up the inlet air system & are measured for vehicle emissions?
Best Wishes,

						Ford idea:
Carbon Impregnation of porous ducting for evaporative emissions absorption - US Patent 6817345
Carbon Impregnation of porous ducting for evaporative emissions absorption - Patent 6817345
In some markets I am sure this is a factor.
