    Have finally been to the dealer and I need to have the instrument pack replaced. Glad I bought the extended warranty.

    Myth in modern vehicles..

    Modern vehicles are Non Volatile memory.... The only thing that can discharge is a capacitor over time and should have no bearing on the D3's systems.

    That's to remind those who would leave the key in and
    risk having the vehicle taken.
    Many US cars have had this since the early nineties.

    Just close the door before inserting the key ...... I like it
