It's not difficult and you can save a packet on
LR service charges .
What age , kms and spec have you bought ?
Disco3.co.uk is the place to search.
Too many links to quote , so just search the forum.
Don't buy cheap oil or generic brake pads/discs .
How hard is it to do servicing yourself on a D3?
I mean fluid and air filter changes. D2 was quite simple.
Are there any how to's on the website?
Regards

This is a great opportunity to add D3 service question/answers to The Good Oil.
Plus it will be Australian advice about Australian vehicles

The old man has a 2005 S with air, rear locker, and he does his own now the S is out of warranty.
He is a bit spoilt with a hoist, so it is pretty easy from a physical side. Just follow the book for the items to check apart from the usual, brakes filters, visual inspection etc.
The challenge we all have is resetting the service indicator, which I can't get up on my HSE yet. I guess I will find out in April when it is due...if it springs up... then off to the dealer for the moment....now where is that electronics guru...
Cheers,
AP
Sorry, didn't come out in print as I ment.
No offence to fellow Aussies, just that D3 UK has soooooo much
stuff and PDF's with Wiggs etc.
Hey, go for it guys.

						Doesn't work...... another myth unfortunately
You need LR comp or Auto logic .
It can be ignored ...... only flashes up at start( thankfully ! )
I'm with NeilP, not having a go at this website or any other Oz website but the Disco3 site has more technical info available. That is why I originally joined that forum. When I first joined AULRO (and that was recently), the D3 zone on this forum had no new posts for days on end. It is improving now but there are some fanatical poms with great technical insights on the Disco3 forum.
A lot of the AULRO D3 regulars are from the pommie site.
Its no skin off my nose,, I dont own one(yet).
Its the D3 owners on THIS site that will decide how helpful THIS site is to D3 newbies. If everyone keeps saying "GO NORTH" then thats what everyone will do.
Its up to you guys .

It is not necessary for information to be replicated
on every site. This is the beauty of internet. We can
correlate advice from several sources.
If I've an airconditioning question and the best
answer happens to be on *******.com , then so be it.
There is no mileage in taking offence regarding
providence of one site vs. another. They are all
just forums in the end .........
