What's the effect if the two rods at the same end of the car aren't changed by exactly the same amount?
Exactly what the title says! After running the original shortening mod for the past year, I finally came up with a precise way to shorten the rods. I dialed in the fronts to 13mm off (ARB w/ winch) and the rears to 12mm off. Perfectly set up to handle the 285/65/18's.
The greatly improved modification.
Set includes 2 rear and 2 front adjustable connecting rods.
Simple install and more refined than stock.
I am currently selling this kit to the Middle East, UK, Europe, US and a few over here. I am NOT a business! I am an enthusiast like yourselves who has finally advanced this mod to the next level. Sell price is $269.00USD + shipping and takes 7-10 shipping days for delivery. You can send a PM or e-mail directly to d3rover-at-comcast.net for additional information. Thanks everyone!
Cheers,
Dave

I recommend pre-setting the dimension prior to installing to assure consistency. This is not really designed to constantly be fiddled with. It is more a one time accurate way to shorten the rods and gain lift. I also recommend getting a full alignment procedure after the install is complete to adjust for proper camber specifications.
Theoretically, you could end up with slightly different heights if the rods are "randomly" set to dimension. I will provide a " to scale" diagram of stock, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm less dimension as measured from center of rod end to center of rod end. This is 1/4-28 thread, so the adjustments are very fine by nature. There is also a jamb nut provided for the RH thread ends to lock down the final adjustment.
Cheers

I can see warranty and insurance claim issue written all over this.........
Point is very well taken. This set is intended for the owners who have already installed modified sets or understand that modifying the stock suspension MAY void any factory warranty. Of course, these are easily installed AT the trailhead and can removed once back on pavement if you so choose. I leave mine on all the time and only replace with stock rods for Dealer scheduled service. All of your feedback is greatly appreciated and I'm sure that the D3 suspension components will continually evolve as they come off warranty or owners become more willing to tackle trails of increasing difficulty (Rubicon!).

Pardon my ignorance but what height increase does this give you?
What brand/type of tyres (285 x 65 x 18) are you running?
Any chance of photos with wheels & tyres on?
Regards
Chuck
A shotening of 10mm will give you off-road height when in normal height setting. This means you can drive at off road height without it dropping when you reach 40kph.
Off road becomes extended height. Extended becomes super extended. Super extended- don't even think about going there.
Handles like a normal coiler with 10mm off.
I have a prototype system which shortend the rods with a button on the dash.
Looking like retailing as a kit for about $1000.
Tires are Nitto Terra Grappler 285/65/18.

There was rubbing in the rear wheel wells from the liner and factory weld seams. I just hit the seam with a cutting wheel and trimmed the liner for the additional room. I relocated the front wiring loom along the frame rail, up and out of the way so I don't rub at full wheel lock.
Just take 'em off and replace with originals for service.
....... as for insurance problems , they look at tyres and maybe springs
replacements, if they're a different colour ( for a clue ! ). The average assessor wouldn't know what he/she was looking at with a air susp. system. I don't give people too much credit anymore ....... if the vehicle
is second hand, who's to say you altered it ?
