How does it stop you using the bak window? Do you mean it impairs rear vision?

if the ladder is there, doesn't it mean you can't open the back window? or does the ladder flip up with the window?

Hi Schmoogene, I think you will find the ladder allows the rear hatch to still function, here is the hyperlink to the LR fitting instructions and it looks like it will hinge aok.

cut and paste all of above (http://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/e...5037/L319-Rear Door Ladder AGP780020.pdf) into your browser address area and it should load after a while. Hope it helps. Roger

The ladder I have attaches to the top of the tailgate and underneath the lock/numberplace assy. It dosent affect the operation of the top tailgate at all.
I believe as stated above the LR one is pretty much the same .

    Regards,
    Tote

    Andrew,

    Cargo Barrier is RAA559-definate.
Head light & bonnet protectors from memory are RAA553 & RAA554
Dont quote me on the last 2 as its just my memory , but the numbers arent that far out. may be a number or 2 out.

The RAA means "Rover Australia Accessory"" which also means they are made here for Land Rover Australia & sold through dealerships.
Tha barrier in the UK does not meet our stds so LRA had one made in Aus.
Not sure what is meant by the cargo area protectors, dont have a brochure with me at home.

    Will get back to you.

    Thanks Pete,
I would still like to get the bonnet and headlight protectors, so if you can confirm the numbers that would be great.
I went with the Milford Cargo Barrier, got a rubber cargo mat from $upercheap for $34 and a light canvas drop cloth from Bunnings which I turned into a "boot bag" to keep the dog from messing things up.
    Regards Andrew.

The headlight protectors are good, but they only hang on by a single clip at the top. I put duct tape across the strap to hold it on, otherwise the protectors have a habit of sliding sideways and eventually fly off.

Had the same problem with Headlight Protectors.
Used double sided tape to secure and push bottom in.
    So far so good.
Also have Supercheap rubber boot mat and fits well.
Supercheap, super useful without super price !!
    Cheers Dave

If you keep moving, it is unlikely that water will enter. I for one would not enter water that was going to be permanently over the lower end of the RAI even with a bow wave, as that would probably be at windscreen height.
    But.....

that assumes you haven't missed a hole when you did your walk

and that you don't get stuck, thereby killing your bow wave.
