What about service in Cairns, then

Hi It does not sound like service at Darwin is good, anyone got thoughts about a service at Cairns, any ideas would be great.
    Cheers Ken

The L/rover dealer in Cairns is Trinity Auto.
We had our Terracan regularly serviced by them & they did a good job, though you did have to book well ahead.
They are a multi agency & I'm not sure if the same place that did the Terry would do a Land Rover but I have the feeling they have only 1 service center.
I must add I was very disappointed when I asked them about buying a L/Rover, they just didn't seem interested in selling me 1, would not even send me a brochure, told me to look at the Internet.

    Question and observation.

    Hi Jonesfam,

When did you enquire at Trinity ?
    Sales has changed personnel.

...... as for service, they too have lost the Guru.
I've not had any issues , but some have .....
Takes a while to get stuff up here if it's not
    ex-Townsville.

Most places can't be bothered to post a brochure,
to be honest. The net/USA/UK sites are much
better than any paperwork over here.
LR service is seperate( with Jag/Volvo) from Asian.

It was about 12 months ago (give or take) when I first wanted to go better than the Terracan. I actually drove down to Cairns from our holiday place in Ravenshoe to look at a car & talk to them, They just weren't interested. I do look like what I am, a country bumpkin, complete with shorts, steel caps & Akubra but their attitude really annoyed me - so I went & looked at a Pathfinder instead. At least they let me do a test drive & crawl all over & under the thing.
So - We will try again starting in Townsville.

A bit OT, but what is it with sales guys. I lose count of the times car salespeople assess people by their appearance and blow out of a sale.
