    It is also preferred that you are moving for suspension height changes. The wheel track width changes slightly as it moves up/down. If you are stationary you load the bushes & tyres a little. If you are moving, even slightly, the rotation will even it all out.

    same here. scared the crap out of my wife too and she came running to me and I wouldln't believer her either. but it's been doing it all the time now. a minute after we stop and engine off, all doors closed.

    I think we need to remember the difference b/w lowering and leveling.

    D3 levels itself whilst driving, and once switched off. It then levels itself about 6 hours after being switched off.

    As the only way to level itself is to lower individual corners, it may appear to be lowering, however, not in the same way as going to access mode, as one of the four corners (at least) will not lower significantly, as a general rule.

    The reason for leveling when switched off, is the driver gets outs, so in my case, it levels a whole lot!!!!

    Forest, If you push the lever to lower to access height, with the engine off, shut the doors and the car will lower to access height.

    I just read my post and should clarify that the car will lower with the engine off, but only if the key is left in.

    It won't raise though, without the engine running.
