    Done deal - Finally bought one!!

    After a long time thinking about it (since Nov 2007) I've finally done it..

    I take delivery of a 2006 SE V6 on Saturday. Cairns blue, Alpaca Leather, rear air and only 35,000k on the clock.

    I'm sure I'll have more questions that need answering now that I actually have a D3.

    I would like to say thanks though to the general community here who are obvioulsy biased and passionate towards their LR's but still manage to tell it like it is with only a moderate amount of bulls%$t thrown in

    ps...anyone after a VYII Commodore?

    It is a petrol. Wanted to get into one with a cheaper initial outlay and I am unlikely to do any serious offroad or towing with it. Mostly a daily driver for the family and possibly some easy 4wd tracks after I get some training behind me.

    Ashes, the V6 will go offroad with no problems but towing anything more that a box trailer at speed will be a challenge

    ...Oh...and you'll love the D3 although acceptable fuel economy takes some careful driving.

    Picked it up this morning and very happy. Even managed to do a bit of 4WD'ing..My mate has a really steep driveway so went up it normally and reversed down it using the hill descent..noice!!!

    I'll be looking to do a basic course/drive day in the not too distant future. Should be fun.

    I'll see what I can do in regards to a pic or two
