			CB aerial mount for D3

Can anyone point me at the thread, or supply a link (here or on Disco3.co.uk ??) referring to the design and position in which to fit a CB aerial off the front of a D3 (under the front lip of the bonnet I think it was...?) ?

Also have heard that someone (in Croydon...?) may be making a good solid bracket for this purpose - anyone have contact details?

Was going to roof mount but have decided to keep it more simple and away from low obstructions....

Is this the one you want? http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-zone/47...te-ladder.html It is a misleading thread title, but it is 80% about an aerial mount. Let me know if you get one as I am thinking of making one or two if you can't get one.

There's quite a bit on aerial mounts in "How to install and IC-440" a few threads back. Also radioworks.com.au have a couple of glass mounted strip antennas, but I have no personal experience with them. It would seem they would not get wiped off by low bushes etc but as I already have a Benelec lip mount bracket on the trailing edge of the bonnet I did not investigate further.

I know this is of no help at all.....but I see a white D3 (not me) every other day with an aerial mount on a bracket coming up through the gap between the bonnet and the guard. They must be available somewhere.

Lab Electronix advertise for a Range Rover Sport or Discovery 3 a "Side mount Antenna bracket, marine grade stainless steel, mounts on either side without drilling". I have no connection and have not seen the product. More info at www.labtronx.com.au

Another way of doing it is to attach it to the roof rails with a bracket and nut and bolt.
