    You can also get glass mount antenna's.
    Time Plus Communication in Brunswick told me they work well & showed me the one on their runabout car for the city.

    I was looking at my snorkel today and thinking that a suitable bit of strapping on the top section a ground independant antenna system just work... anyone tried it ?

    Er, did they drill the cover over the mounts to add the optional rear bolts, or did they actually drill the roof? I have heard of many people doing the former, but none of the latter...

    I understand that the cover gets thrown away and they drill into the roof. Had this confirmed by LR also.

    Snap, mine's done exactly the same way. A z-bracket and a vice with a little inner tube rubber and all good.
