If the thing works at all! That was my experience with a Tekonsha P3, POS!

As for a standard plug I doubt it very much and good luck getting any sense out of the manufacturer. I suggest reading up on Sniegy's D3 installation notes on the forum about EBC's and the D3.

    Hi dm_td5,

I have the P3 with Kimberly Kamper with elctronic over hydraulic brakes and it works very well if set on the right setting. The Prodigy I used to have made it pulse quite badly and so does the P3 if not set to the hydraulic setting.

Ben, as far as if there is a standard plug, no there is not. Apparently the American spec cars have one but we don't here is Aus. As dm_td5 said, search for the posts by Sniegy as they include all the photos of how to connect it up. Even with that though I chickened out and got the dealer to do it for me .

You're assuming I could actually get it connected to a trailer.

My P3 didn't even make it as far as having a trailer connected to it. It refused to shutdown and had a continuous small current draw as though there was a fault inside it. E-mails to vendor and Tekonsha (USA) went unanswered.

Yeah, I was. No wonder you think it is a POS .

Resurrecting this thread to ask where people have mounted their brake controllers - in particular the Tekonsha P3?

Anyone done it without any visible holes?

    Cheers,
    Dunc
