My extras added to D3, so far

I have had my D3 some 6 months now and I thought I would list what extras I have installed as a guide to anyone thinking to do likewise. Cost hasn't always been the critical factor as location, convenience and availability are also influences.

Tow Hitch:Mitchell Bros Supply & Fit by Davis Performance $700
Dual battery system: Supply only Traxide SC80-LR HCE $420
Second battery:Optima D34 Supply and Deliver. Batteries Direct $336
Electric barke controller: Tekonsha Prodigy S & D. Caravans Plus $196
Cable & circuit breaker for brake comntroller: $65
    UHF GME TX 3440 Radio: S & D. Prestige Communications $408
UHF antenna and "boot lid" mount (Note this is mounted on rear of bonnet) Newcastle Pro Sound $120
Front sheepskin seat covers: Mortels $495
    Rhino Roof channels & 3 bars: S & Fit. Bars-N-Racks $800
Rhino Medium Steel Roof Basket: Bars-N-Racks $250
Rhino shovel holder brackets: Bars-N-Racks $40
    Rhino 6inch conduit holders: Bars-N-Racks $25
Safari Snorkel: S & Fit ARB Newcastle $760
Strip mould to doors: S & Fit .Alto Artarmon $518
    Dashmat: S & D. Sunprotec Webstore $58

I have also been working on a storage system for the rear, including an extension rod to lower the spare wheel with the third seats down and other gear in place. I will give more details when I am a little further advanced and can put in some photos.

The Rhino channels are full length over the raised section of the roof. I have two bars on this section. However, as I wanted three bars, the front one is on the lower roof section and is mounted on a separate section of channel about 150mm long, i.e. more or less fixed. The support to this bar is longer so that all three bars are the same height.

Yes, although they had to come from Melbourne apparently. They come with a fitting template and I was charged 1 hour labour to install.

    Hope that explains it all.
