Has any body got a D3 manual in PDF format that they dont mind sending on to a fellow D3 owner. I travel around in the SA NT WA outback a bit and would like to get to know my car rather well. I owned a Defener for 9 years and could always get it back on track 100s of Ks from the closest settlment. A manual would be a start.

Some folk have downloaded the site , but I doubt you'll get
anyone to admit it in print . The problem remains that if the CANBUS
system plays up , the vehicle may well be immobilised . It's the
electronics that lets the side down

can anybody advise where I can get a 2007 disco 3 TDV6SE workshop manual/cd?
am very pleased with vehicle but when in the bush need a manual if I have a problem.
towed 3 ton caravan up the centre & through the kimberlies (incl gibb river road) & have caught the bug.
Dennis,
You are looking for something that doesn't exist, like others have mentioned before, subscribing to the GTR site and downloading or reading the relevant information is the only way to go unfortunate but true. The electrical diagrams alone are about 38 A3 pages in content, very comprehensive and easy to follow, you wouldn't get these on a CD it would have to be several. I also have a Faultmate MSV2 from Black Box solutions which isn't cheap but should you get stuck in the bush, providing the battery has enough juice you can diagnose what's broken and reset fault codes. These vehicles are very complex, a good servicing and PM routine is the best way to survive in the bush, you can't do much else.
I toasted my tranny module when I washed the vehicle, I was able to diagnose and find the problem after I had some assistance from this forum and used my MSV 2 but on my own I would have been struggling in the bush to say the least.
I'm not being facisious here but if you want something simple to diagnose with a workshop manual then the fete of electronic marvelry you now own isn't it, I'm sorry.

		thanks for replies
new to all this, but know I have no hope of fixing any real problems but a manual gives some chance to least know what I am lookig at.
ignorance is not bliss.
