With the D3, braking & accelerating at the same time can confuse heck out of the electronics & could well log a fault (as per LTB00025).

Thanks everyone for the info and advice. Its great having such a knowledgable community out there.

Caver... Ta... I try to go light on the noisy pedal and it does pick up quickly it is just that "unpowered" rolling across the oncoming lanes (on that particular corner) feels very disconcerting.
Living in a hilly district out of town fuel economy is a consideration. Do you know how the ecu remap affects economy? I understand (happy to be corrected) that most of the aftermarket chips just boost fuel flow with a resultant change in economy. Comments welcome.

Bush...Thanks that was a great explanation. Maybe it could go up as an FAQ. I learn something every day.

I find that my driving technique has changed to suit the D3, however ther is a definite improvement in response if you put it in sport mode ( still in auto) around town.

    Hi shining,
I think that you are confusing "chips" and "remaps". You are right that "chips" boost fuel flow, but "remaps" can tune the ecu to your requirements (unless they are just "off the shelf"). They, therefore, can increase power, improve economy, or any combination of those options.

    Best Wishes,
    Peter
