Almost 5 Thousand k Mega trip I love my D3

Over the past few weeks I have travelled close to 5 thousand k's with wife and two kids in my D3. This involved
    - many many K's of highway and secondary road driving
    - Gravel and cut up washed out dirt
    - Deep red mud and flooded causeways in flooded outback QLD.
    - Beach and soft sand driving Around the Fraser Coast.

I can safely say I have never before experienced a vehicle that is so utterly competant and comfortable in any situation, it is the best highway tourer I have ever driven, smooth, roomy and comfortable with a great seating position and visibility, we did two days with 1000k drives and everyone including kids survived without incident or fights.

It ate up the mud dirt and sand and never looked like getting stuck and never missed a beat, at one stage there was an inch of red mud coating every surface of the car inculding the roof, and six inches piled on the sidesteps

    Fuel consumption averaged 10.5.

General Grabbers also performed very well, although I think they are now very slightly noisier than when I started, but otherwise also performed flawlessly.

Everything was perfect, love my D3.

Sadly there are none of the mud, I was having too much fun to stop and take pics, and never got stuck so was never forced out.

I will post a pic on the beach at Rainbow when I get the chance, but it is not an action pic. sorry
