A bit OTT. Has anyone installed an EBC in a D4? I have a D4 on order and it looks to me that the revised centre onsole layout means the ECB won't fit in the ashtray space.

The reason for land rover maybe 'not liking ECB's' is because people fit them don't know what there messing with.
As nomad9 said , ECB's should not be wired to the brake pedal because it will interfere with the electrical systems on the vehicle.
wire it up to the brake light in the back of the car via a diode to stop back feeding & it will be fine.

If in dowt get it fitted at a land rover dealer

I have driven the D4 2 times so far it knee caped me once... 50/50 so far. To be fair the Territory had it in the same spot and it use to knee cap from time to time as well.
