    D4 Longranger Tank

Has anyone fitted the Longranger Tank to a D4? The site doesn't say they have a D4 product. Also is there an external spare wheel carrier for the D4 yet?

I will advise. I am looking at fitting the Longranger. They will pay the freight, but want feedback and pics. Pretty close to making a decision. The only thing holding me up is what wheel carrier to go with. edit ( does not seem to be any issue with wheel carriers- generally accepted that anything for a D3 will fit a D4 )

Now if only Safari and ARB would come up with data on a D4 fit for their respective products

I am very keen to see how this works out for you. It will at least be good to know what parts fit and work for the D4.

I will post detail once I get moving.

I am still gobsmacked at how many people are doing mods along similar lines or looking at them on the D3/4's. Dual batteries, fire extinguishers, draw setups, tanks etc etc. A lot of serious owners out there.

Dual batteries I wont be doing. The van has to 2 100 amp batteries. I also have a thumper pack so I think I have the battery side covered.

But that Aux tank I think is a must for when we are towing the van. Our first trip with the van is in June so I hope to get the Aux tank sorted by then.

Longranger have two options, a 104 litre fuel tank, or a combined fuel & water tank. Sorry I don't have the detail at hand, but their website can confirm. I recall the water tank is epoxied to the top of the fuel tank, and I think it was 75 litres of fuel and 20 litres of water. Looking at trips like the Simpson, a 160 - 170 litre total is right on the marginal. Personally I prefer the extra fuel capacity, and there are other places for water storage.
