Hi All
I have seen them mentioned briefly in some other threads...... but does anyone have any comments/experience with Continetal Cross Contacts?
I just posted my results of my 18' cross contact in a seperate thread (litteraly just now). If you go off road, I believe they are the way to go. I have chatted with people that have the general grabbers, and I will be sticking with the conti's.
Great all round tyre.
True but it didn't kick in. I wasn't going crazy but I was pushing the boundries of what was a sensible speed for the conditions.
In which case as you say it proves they hang on reasonably well. The D3's chassis and 4WD system helps of course. I was just saying the first indication of loss of grip would be the ESC kicking in, not really very noticeable understeer. Like most vehicles the D3 naturally understeers anyway.
I should add, that when on road, I like to run mine at least at 36 psi. I am sure I will got lots of abuse for this post, but I have found that although not as soft as some would like, for handling higher is better. At 100k I run at 40, and that how I like it.
Well mine are at 40 usually so no abuse here.
