The gearbox should be OK - I would get a mega flush and steel transmission sump done at the 96,000km service though.
From what others have said I would be checking the steering rack, tie rods and ball joints. Other than that - the usuals - servicing, recalls etc.
When I got my TDV6 I would have loved a TDV8 but they were still a bit expensive and relatively high mileage where my priority was to get as low a mileage as possible.
