Thread: Iphone in RRS MY2011

Hey guys,

Anyone using an iphone 4S in their RRS 2011 model? I keep my iphone 4 up to date with software and it's never worked in my car. Older software versions work - but I am looking to get the software update on my car. Just wondering how current it will be with the new 4S coming out???

The problem is that the software that is running your phone (Apples updates are regular as i have a Iphone 4 also-not the newer "S" tho') is "too" up to date. The software that is in the vehicle does not recognise changed running hardware & you may find that it will not work.
Apple are not to nice at giving out updates & the updates are given are then in a week or 2 are updated again.
LR took Apple's iPhone off their recommended phone list & then re-instated it

under Bluetooth, enter your VIN, then select the head unit you have & LR will advise at what the best software to utilise the phone.
When the updates are avaialble LR will advise dealers there is a download & when customers come in & enquire the appropriate download will be done.
