    RR tow hitch reciever

Hi , Read all the stories re the Tow Hitch reciever falling when towing a trailer etc , on checking mine ( not the old plough one) on my RRS i fail to see how this can happen if fitted correctly ,and providing all is as it should be with no busted or non working bits or dirt in the slot where it fits in etc .

Is there any real evidence of tow hitch reciever failure that is factual or should be of concern ?? any opinions !! . Thanks Al.

More likely to be a csting fault. Cast steel so it will also be more brittle. The D3 one also has a longer drop so more prone to fatigue than the D4 one. Mitch hitch will only bend if the top bolt fails so you don't loose the connection.
