RRS RAI - Sealing the Connector Pipe

For those with a D3/RRS that have a RAI fitted and either sealed the pipe that connects the air box to the RAI or replaced it with something else.

If you sealed the pipe what did you use - just tape it up with something like rescue tape or coat it with some sort of sealing compound.

If you replaced the pipe with something else - what did you use and where did you get it? Can you remember sizes?

    Thanks

    Hi Garry,
I believe the D4 RAI has a sealed pipe (and a gasket for where the RAI meets the guard).

Thanks but we are talking D3 and earlier RRS which uses a different air intake pipe to the D4.

Do you know if the D4 pipe will fit in a D3? If so, and assuming it is not all that expensive, the easiest may be to just replace the D3 version with the D4 version.

    Cheers

    with an plastic one,

Garry - I just took a look in the garage at the bits I took off to install the snorkel, and fwiw, the D4 2.7 elbow is also religious. The hose however, is different to the one that Caver posted.

Same activated charcoal material but now a has a plastic sleave.
I think the fabric has charcoal in it to beat emissions regs when engine off?

    Garry,
IIRC, TLO (on disco3.co.uk) said that they were a straight swap.
