    Emergency air up RRS

If one was to fit some schrader valves into the air lines of the eas srstem to pump up manualy with a compressor in an emergency out the back of whoop whoop , where would you cut in to the individual air lines with out having to jack vehicle up etc , I have found an air line behind each front headlight , but not sure about the rear ones , maybe on top of the air spring itself . not interested in saving or minimising damage just to save a life etc and get going again in say the desert .

Am I right in believing that you mean " not interested in saving or minimising damage BUT, RATHER, to save a life ..." ?

Well sort of , ie not worried about cutting an air line to insert a schrader valve to pump up each airspring and isolate the eas system ,will replace airline when back to civilisation.

Well if you did have to cut into a rear one you would find the replacement not that easy without taking the body off!

There are now two GOE systems for the air suspension. One that you install now and use when you need to. A bit more involved to install but easier to use when you need it. May affect suspension warranty.

The other system you carry with you and install when you are in difficulty. I think this latter system is what would suit your situation, Fatso. I'm not sure the Schrader valve on its own would be easy to secure or if it would tolerate the pressure.

Another topic which should of been found if the "Search" function was used:

Personally I have the GOE emergency inflation kit fitted which I installed prior to an Geographical Centre of the Simpson trip as it was in a very remote location and didn't want to have something fail without a back up plan.

Only when in the tough cross country section of the trip did I have one of the GOE connectors leak unfortunately. We had a spare connector and replaced it but if I had only taken the kit and not fitted it I would not had had a problem.

I have the full EAS kit from Gordon fitted by Greg at Cremorne
Prestige and it is ready to rock and roll if required. Absolutely
Dead easy to connect air line to, not concerned with the possibility
of them letting go as I have used these fittings/ air line in the marine field
driving air switches for hydraulics in a lot more extreme environment
then tucked away in a car body. You'll probably find that if installed correctly
They have a high rating then the factory lines.
